We bring together Animal Control Department employees throughout Michigan by - twice a year - offering Training Seminars at various venues. But, bringing in speakers from across the country to provide continuing education to ACO's and shelter staff is just the beginning. Members are also on many State Committees, giving input from an Animal Control perspective, as well as helping to push new legislature through the State Capital. Working to improve animal welfare and promote justice and equity in the enforcement of animal laws is of crucial importance. Raising the standard of acceptable animal care and pet owner responsibility is a role we proudly take on by helping to increase the professionalism of those who enforce the laws.
