LIVE Online Sessions
Sessions meet online weekly followed by an in-person practical all facilitated by HSUS certified euthanasia instructor Dr. Cathy Anderson, licensed veterinarian with a master’s degree in shelter medicine. This training meets and exceeds the minimum requirements for euthanasia technician training as outlined under Michigan Law. Topics include: History of animal shelters and euthanasia, understanding euthanasia drugs and dosages, drug administration methods, humane restraint techniques, verification of death, managing stress and compassion fatigue, federal and state requirements.
